Abstract

This article explores the role of microfinance in empowering social entrepreneurs in Morocco, highlighting its significance in a context where social entrepreneurship is growing yet faces financial and structural challenges. Microfinance is portrayed as a crucial tool for financial inclusion, providing access to credit and other financial services, which are vital for combating poverty and unemployment while promoting innovation and social development. Although microfinance has improved access to funding, enabling social entrepreneurs to initiate and grow their ventures, the study emphasizes the need for a more holistic approach, incorporating tailored support, training, and skill development. It also points out the necessity for innovation in financial products to meet the diverse needs of social entrepreneurs. Lastly, the article calls for future research to assess the long-term impact of microfinance and develop strategies to enhance financing access while supporting the overall development of entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to inclusive and sustainable growth in Morocco.
